Stamping Around the World Blog Hop – Happy Vaisakhi

Welcome back to another edition of the Stamping Around the World Blog Hop! These wonderful ladies have been very busy these last weeks attending Stampin’ Up! OnStage events all around the world, so we’re a bit of a smaller crowd than usual. We’ve created projects using the same stamp sets, suite, or theme as our tutorial projects, but for a different project.

For my project, I decided to use the Peaceful Place stamp set to celebrate the Sikh holiday of Vaisakhi. This holiday was actually celebrated while I was at OnStage in Vancouver, and where I was staying was right next to the parade route! To read more about Vaisakhi and it’s significance in the Sikh faith, check out this Wikipedia article.

If you’d like to see detailed instructions on how I made the faux suede layer, take a look at the recipe below. You’ll also find a list of supplies with links that will take you straight to my online store! But before you leave, make sure you check out all the other wonderful projects created by the Stamping Around the World team!

  1. Learning something new everyday, like about this spring harvest festival. Gorgeous card, Stefanie. It makes me want to go for a walk in the woods. The colours you used are beautiful together.
