The Crafty Medic

Welcome back to the blog hop! This amazing group of demonstrators from around the world are all participating in Kylie Bertucci’s training, many of us with the goal of earning a trip to Maui. This month I coordinated with Cara from Cara’s Crafty Nook (who I ‘met’ online because of Kylie’s training) to put together an online class featuring the See A Silhouette suite. This suite is one of my favourites, I’m in love with the bright watercolours and uplifting sentiments.

One of the projects we’re featuring in the class is this shadow box. Not only does it feature a ton of product from the suite, but I hit up the dollar store to get some fairy lights, so it even lights up! It was absolutely perfect for this photo I got of myself with some of my friends at team members at OnStage earlier this year.

I loved this whimsical image of a child, just amazed by the world. It so captures what I love about crafting, there’s always something magical around the next corner! I embossed her with black shimmer embossing powder and gave her a black foil dandelion to wonder at.

The sentiment, which captures how I feel about my journey as a demonstrator, was also embossed with black shimmer.

One detail I LOVE and I’m not sure the bigger images capture is that there’s lights behind one of the mats! The battery pack tucks in behind or on the bottom of the frame, depending on how I display it. You can also see I went hog wild with the dimensionals and created a ton of layers within layers.
