L’Shana Tova! Happy new year! This evening marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, or the new year in the Hebrew calendar. To learn more about this holiday, take a look at the Wikipedia article here: Rosh Hashanah.
A few of us decided to celebrate by doing a blog hop, where we created projects for this high holiday. I challenged myself to use all current product, though it wasn’t required, and came up with this card…
I did use a printed sentiment from the free PDF available in my Multicultural Stamping Facebook group. You can join us and download it yourself here: Multicultural Stamping
Apples and honey are common symbols for Rosh Hashanah, so I stuck with those and layered them by using masking. Here’s a look at how I did that.
Stamp the image(s) you want in the front of your grouping. 
Cut out a mask from a sticky note. 
Add your sticky note to your already stamped image. 
Stamp the image(s) you want in the background. 
Remove your mask to reveal your layered images!
I also added a bit of gloss to my honey jar to make it look realistic! There’s a couple different ways you can accomplish this…
Use fine tip glue all over your image. 
Stamp your image with Versamark (I used the back of the jar image here) and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
