This blog hop had me thinking pretty hard! Even though I set the theme, I struggled with what to create for it. I’ve had so many fantasy card ideas over the years, but not necessarily for any current product. I’d made the banner from a stock image and finally landed on an idea… inspired by the banner! Take a look, how did I do?
One of the elements of fantasy that were ‘iconic’ to me (get the pun? Not yet? You will by the end of the post…) was lots of detail, so I started loading this card up with little details! I started just by layering pieces, using the dies and some elements to get an idea of the final layout…
I cut out the mushrooms from cardstock layered onto multipurpose foam sheets…
Then I sponged them with some white craft ink diluted in alcohol to create some dimension and texture…
For the sentiment I wanted just a part of this stamp from the Love & Happiness set. I masked off the part I didn’t want with washi tape (you can also use pieces of a sticky note), then inked up my stamp, removed the mask, and then stamp onto your cardstock!
Here’s a few detail shots of the card with all it’s embellishments and glory!
Now hop on along to see what everyone else has made for this theme!
If you’d like to create your own version of this card, you can click on any of the items below to be taken to my online store. Don’t forget to use my host code (at the top of my website) and you’ll get a free tutorial bundle as well! This month we have an amazing 37 projects in the bundle!
