Happy Technique Tuesday! Today we are working with mini cards, with the Crafty Collaborations team to create cards that are smaller than standard cards we’re used to mailing. I love these little artsy pieces, you can do so much, often with scraps, and the smallest additions have a lot of impact. If you are making mini cards be aware that you probably can’t mail them without putting them in a larger envelope or package, but they make great inclusions to lunch bags, parcels, and gift baskets!
I created this custom shaped mini card using the Artfully Layered suite…
Here’s how I made the card base… First I took a piece of cardstock, scored, and folded it. I placed my die over the score line so that there was some of the score left attached to the shape as well.
Then I layered another die cut, more shapes, and decorations onto the card. I even decorated the envelope flap with some extra designer series paper.
Now let’s take a look at what everyone else is making!
