When working with different markets, the problem of different types of cardstock often comes up. North Americans, specifically in Canada and the USA, use letter sized paper which is 8 1/2″ x 11″. However, the rest of the world uses A4 paper, which is 21.0 cm x 29.7 cm or 8 1/4″ x 11 5/8″, and some use centimeters and some inches to add to the confusion!
