Welcome to another Technique Tuesday blog hop from Crafty Collaborations! This month we’re teaching you all kinds of different ways to use punches. With a line up of 36 punches currently available, plus clearance rack ones, there’s lots to choose from!

I chose to use the Deer Builder Punch from the new mini catalogue for my project. I CASEd this one from Sherry Roth, one of my fellow Canadian demonstrators. I changed it up a little, but I love how she used the punched shapes to make a textured background to her card.

To create this back ground, I first punched a stack of deer in the same Crumb Cake Card stock as my card base. I then glued these onto the card, letting some of them come off the edge of the card.

After cleaning the extra glue up with an adhesive eraser, I trimmed off the overhanging deer pieces! You can do this either with a trimmer or snips, whichever works best for you.

A few more layers and some textured elements, and my card was done! What a great simple way to add extra texture and dimension to a card!

This card is part of the second class in my Christmas mega class! Email me for more information, but this is going to be a fabulous way to get a head start on your Christmas cards this year. Two bundles, two classes, and one great low price! This class will be available to anyone in Canada or the USA, so email me today to get more information and your name on the list!
