Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop : Best Of…

This month’s blog hop is all about the “Best of”. If you’re new to the hop, click along at the bottom to follow the circle around to everyone else’s projects. You can also go to the main page to see everyone’s work.
You probably came here from Terri’s blog, welcome! Everyone did amazing work, and I’m honoured to be part of this fabulous group of ladies. You can also move ahead to Kath’s blog to follow along the hop.
For my “Best of the Past” I featured one of my favourite stamps from Sale-A-Bration past. I also used a retired colour that I didn’t use enough when it was around, River Rock. This card goes out to a special young lady I know who is going to heal the world some day! Or take over it. Or both… jury’s still out.

For my “Best of the Present” I’m sharing this card I made for a coworker. I decided that this is the cutest card I’ve ever made. I CASEd it from Angela Seargent, just tweaked it a little. I didn’t get this stamp set when it was first available, but I got it (and the coordinating framelits) recently when I had a free stamp set to redeem from a promotion. One of the great perks of being a demonstrator!

Last but certainly not least, “Best of the Hop”. I was paired with Kath Ricks, who has been around the hop since right back at the start, which made it quite the project to go back and find my favourite project of hers. This one jumped out at me because I LOVE this stamp set. Here’s my own version…

Don’t forget to click along the blog hop line and take a look at everyone else’s projects!

  1. Wow – love the band-aid rainbow, and the feather card is really stunning – thanks for sharing everything.

  2. I think your "special someone" card is very cute! Of course so is the baby buggy card! Your CASE card is fabulous and so happy!

  3. Stefanie, River Rock is such a cool colour and I also didn't use it as much as I should. It is so versatile. It's perfect for the band-aid card. The baby card is very cute and I love that you didn't use a traditional baby colour. The feathers card is so fun – bright and cheerful!

  4. Great use of colour combinations and textures, Stefanie! Those little band-aids on the 1st card are so cute – I never did get that set. Great 'case' of Kath's card.

  5. Thank you for being part of this wonderful blog hop. I think it's our best so far, don't you?

I love your "best of" retired card. I don't even recall seeing that stamp during the Sale-a-brations I've seen but it's extremely effective the way you've used it. You've even made the River Rock look amazing! That pram is perfect, rolling along on the pretty lace. It's a great stamp set/framelit set and deserves your nod as "best of".

I had a look at Kath's card and see you've stayed true to it while making it your own in the inspiration card. Your colours are so vibrant and cheery. A great birthday card. Thank you for sharing.

  6. I also waited on the baby stamp and framelits, but finally broke down–I really like the card you made with non-traditional colors! And the band-aid card is so fun! Super work!

  7. Such clean and elegant cards – great job!!! I love the look of your style! I think the feather card is my favorite. I hope you have the very merriest of Christmases!!

  8. Beautiful cards…all of them. I especially love the one with the baby carriage on it. The colors are stunning. Regretfully, I do not have this set.
Just some fun info… when I was growing up it was called a buggy, now it is a carriage and in some places a pram.

  9. Fabulous job on the hop Miss Stefanie. I love them all. Missing River Rock myself most days. I've lost it twice now. Once when it retired as an In Color and again in a renovation after it was brought back then dissed again. Sigh. I always fall in love with the transient colors. Still mourning Midnight Muse too!

Love the concept of healing the world or taking it over. Great choices! Loved your CASE of Kath especially. That feather bundle is still calling my name. Very elegant baby card too. I'll have to add that to the CASE file I keep. Baby cards are not something I find easy to do. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hugs and thanks for keeping the hop so interesting and fun.
